THE KESTER HOMESTEAD’S HARVEST POTLUCK
THE HARVEST POTLUCK
September 27th, 2026 from 4-7pm
Every year we open our doors and set the table for you to come gather with us. It’s a time and space to share homemade food with each other, to talk and reflect and connect. There’s a long rambling table where you sit next to a stranger and make a lasting friend. There is music and dancing and bonfires - it’s an evening where magic happens because we are present with one another, our bellies are full, and we are celebrating one another and all that nature provides us. We can’t wait to see ya there!
THE DETAILS:
September 27th from 4-7pm in The Kester Homestead’s Gambrel Barn - the event is inside Gambrel Barn and Wild Garden (The House is closed for this gathering) just to keep the group together!)
Bring a Dish to Pass - we ask that you are mindfully cooking using seasonal dishes and veggies from your garden or purchasing from a local farm stand, meat from a local farm, bread homemade or from a local bakery… the Harvest Potluck is a celebration of the season, the farmers and our farming community, so support local with this meal! There is a long rambling food table and a separate dessert table - and we have little cards to write what you brought.
Community Potluck Bar - you can BYOB or add to the shared bar. We will have water dispensers for guests.
Please carpool if possible to help manage the parking field - we will have parking on-site in our grass field.
This is a free event - we just ask that you help keep the space clean and clear your plate/compost your scraps for the chickens at the end of the night.
If you have a food restriction or allergy, feel free to bring something you can eat and label it so others who might be GF, etc. can enjoy too!
Event is rain or shine - the dinner is indoors and covered. Dress for the weather (there is no heat in the barn).
Bring the whole family - but leave your pets at home for this event please and thank you!
This is an RSVP only event and we cap our feast-goers at 160 people due to parking and seating restrictions- this event always “sells out” - if it’s full when you RSVP, we will happily add you to our waitlist!
